How can I take part?

Our charity place applications are now closed! If you would like to be added to our mailing list for the Great North Run 2027 to be notified when charity places open, please drop us an email!

If you've been lucky enough to secure your place directly through the Great North Run ballot, we’d love for you to join Team Beat! There’s no minimum fundraising target; we simply ask that you raise as much as you can.

If you have personal experience of an eating disorder or current health issues, you should not take part in the Great North Run if doing so could put your health and wellbeing in jeopardy. Successful applicants who have had any experience of an eating disorder will be required to partake in our safeguarding process to ensure you are able to participate safely in the event.

I have my own place!

Let us know that you have secured your own place directly through the ballot!

"Keep going. One day you will feel golden."
