I have a question!

What if I've signed up and am unable to attend?

We would appreciate it if you could inform us in case you cannot make it to the event. This will enable us to make the spot available to other attendees. You can get in touch with us here

When will I receive my joining instructions?

You will receive joining instructions to your registered email address around a week before the event is due to start. We will send communications out via email, keep an eye on your inbox, make sure you add us as a trusted sender. You may need to check your junk/spam email folder.

I have registered to attend but haven’t received any communications from you.

On occasion our email correspondence can be swept into your junk folder. Please check the folder and add us as a trusted sender. You should receive correspondence from us directly into your email inbox around a week before the event.

Do I have to attend the entire event?


If you cannot participate in the entire event, there's no need to worry. Please send us a brief email, and we will make sure a team member is available to assist you upon your arrival.

What is the format of the event

Is catering included?

Yes. we will be provide, tea and coffee during breaks and a light lunch. If you have any dietary requirements we should know about, let us know here

What can I expect at this event?
  • To learn more about eating disorders and the support services and resources provided by Beat.
  • Hear from people who have recovered about what helped their recovery and from parents who will speak openly about their struggles and lessons learnt, explaining what worked for them during their loved one’s journey to recovery.
  • Opportunities to network and share experiences with other professionals and carers.
  • Attend breakout sessions, allowing delegates to tailor their time at the event.
  • This event is CPD accredited.
How do I get to the venue?

The Event is taking place at the Civic centre which is the heart of Chelmsford. You find, parking and transport details here: https://www.chelmsford.gov.uk/your-council/contacting-us/getting-to-the-civic-centre/

We will be sending out all you need to know about attending the event around a week before. Keep an eye out on your email. The information will be sent to the email you registered with.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes. The Civic centre has disabled access and facilities and for anyone who's hearing is impaired. Please do let us know if you have any specific requirement here

How do I get my CPD certificate?


Following the event, you'll receive an email requesting your feedback. Simply complete the evaluation and let us know if you'd like to receive a CPD certificate. These certificates are sent directly by CPD, so please allow up to 28 days for it to arrive.

Do I need to book onto the workshops?

You do not need to book onto any workshop sessions, these will operate on a first come first serve basis, and some rooms do have capacity limitations, so be sure to get to your sessions on time.

Is there a cloakroom?

Our coat storage space is limited, so we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing luggage or similar items.
