Thank you for choosing to support Beat! First, decide how you would like to fundraise. You can organise your own event, sign up for one of our most popular events, or sign up for a different event.
When you’ve chosen your event, it’s time to start fundraising here. Using Just Giving is the easiest way for friends and family to donate, and all your donations, plus Gift Aid, will automatically be transferred to Beat.
Your fundraising will help towards our vision to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders. Your donations will help to fund our services including our Helplines and online support groups.
Yes! You can fundraise any way of your choice, whether you organise your own event or take part in one that’s already set up. Then you can start fundraising through Just Giving.
Beat purchases places in our most popular events so that we can guarantee entries even after general entries sell out. We need to ensure that anyone using these places raises enough to cover the cost and support our work. We ask applicants to agree to this before accepting a place, and support everyone to raise as much as possible.
You can buy a general entry from an event organiser’s website and choose to fundraise for Beat. There is no minimum fundraising target for these places, but our team will help you to raise as much as possible.
You can apply for a charity entry for events through Beat’s website. If your application is successful, we would ask you to reach a minimum fundraising target by a set deadline, usually four weeks after the event takes place.
Our fundraising team are here to help you raise as much as possible. We would love to discuss your fundraising plans and give you advice and encouragement to reach your fundraising target. We can also provide materials, and help with promoting your fundraising in your local area.
If you are fundraising for Beat and would like to use our logo, please use the In Support of Beat logo which can be downloaded here.
Yes, once you have set up a fundraising page our team will contact you to arrange delivery of a running vest and any other resources.
We can provide information about Beat’s work, sponsorship forms, collection boxes, balloons, flags, running vests, badges, and t-shirts. We do ask for suggested donations for some of these items to help cover costs. Please contact our fundraising team, including your full address and event details, to request resources.
Yes – please click here. Please only use our sponsorship forms, and ask your donors to write their full details in block capitals. This allows us to claim Gift Aid, making your fundraising go further. If you are fundraising through Just Giving, Gift Aid will be automatically claimed (where eligible) so you don’t need to worry about this.
Gift Aid allows UK charities to claim back 25% of eligible donations from the government, meaning Beat get an extra 25p on top of every £1 donated, boosting your donation by a quarter. To claim on fundraising donations, we require a completed sponsorship form.
If you fundraise online through Just Giving, all your donations and Gift Aid will be automatically transferred to Beat.
