Email address: vr-eatingdisorders-project@bristol.ac.uk

Who can take part?

We are seeking input from the following groups:

  1. People aged 14-25 years old who have experience of any eating disorder (past or current), whose weight or shape significantly influences (or used to influence) how they think about themselves as a person, or who have/had a fear of weight gain, and
  2. People who have experience of being a parent or carer of someone with an eating disorder.

What is the purpose of the research?

To gather views from people with current/previous eating disorders, parents and carers, and clinicians, to inform the design of a Virtual Reality body representation intervention for use as part of treatment for people with eating disorders.

What does the study involve?

The study involves taking part in a focus group or one to one interview (you can choose which you prefer) for about one hour, to discuss how to design a Virtual Reality body representation intervention for use in the treatment of people with eating disorders.

Those that take part will receive a £20 “Love to Shop” voucher (via email) as a thank you.
