Volunteer with Beat

More people than ever before have accessed support through Beat’s Services. We have seen a 95%* increase in people accessing support and the team have been able to meet the demand with thanks to our volunteer team. Help us to support even more of those that need help through this difficult time.

There are lots of exciting opportunities to volunteer at Beat, from digital volunteers on the frontline all the way through to office volunteers supporting our team behind the scenes. By sharing your valuable time, skills and experiences with us, you can become part of a committed team, working together to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders.

*95% increase in people accessing support during December 2020 compared with February 2020.

We know that your time is valuable, so as a Beat volunteer you will get:

  • Opportunities to learn new skills and gain valuable experience.
  • A chance to be part of a community of nationwide volunteers helping Beat to reach their goal of ending the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders.
  • Appropriate supervision and support from a designated Beat staff member

There are many ways in which you can support the vital work of Beat. Some roles require people with lived experience of an eating disorder (whether having been ill themselves or having cared for a loved one) but this is not necessary for all roles. The majority of our volunteer roles can currently be completely remotely.
