Edinburgh Half Marathon

How can I take part?

You can apply for a charity place with Beat to join our team of runners for the Edinburgh Marathon Festival, or if you already have your own place you can let us know. Simply pick the option below.

If you have personal experience of an eating disorder or current health issues, you should not take part in the Edinburgh Half Marathon if doing so could put your health and wellbeing in jeopardy. Applicants who have a pre-existing medical condition, may be required to provide a doctor’s certificate stating they have a suitable level of fitness to participate.

Apply for a place with Beat

Apply for a place today with Team Beat and be part of a movement to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders.

I have my own place

If you have bought your place directly through the Edinburgh Marathon Festival organisers, we'd love for you to join Team Beat!

Why run for Beat?

Your fundraising will support our Helpline services so that anyone who is worried about themselves or a loved one can contact our Helpline services 365 days a year, so no one has to face an eating disorder alone – thank you! You can find out more about how your fundraising makes a difference here

We’ll be there to support you every step of your fundraising journey:

Health and Wellbeing

Any half marathon is an extremely demanding physical challenge. We strongly suggest that you consult your doctor or clinician before taking part in this event, especially if you have a current or previous medical condition including any experience of an eating disorder. Please also ensure you read and agree to our Fundraising Guidelines.
