Bald For Beat

Join people across the UK going Bald for Beat on October 31st!

Whether you shave your head, shave your lockdown beard or persuade your Dad to have a leg wax for Beat – your fundraising will help our Helpline services be there for more people every day.

“There were many ways I thought of that I could have tried to raise money, but for me, I knew it had to be through shaving my head. So much of my body had changed through my illness and recovery, and I have been on a journey of love and acceptance of who I am now. But of the things I was most proud of in my recovery, it was finally having thick, healthy, hair again. So naturally, I shaved off all my hair. I wanted to prove to myself, and hopefully to even one other person, that your worth is not tied up in the way you look”

Jessica raised £2,480.49 going Bald for Beat in April 2021.

How do I get involved?

  1. Create a Just Giving page and personalise with your story and why you’re going Bald for Beat.
  2. Our fundraising team will send you tips, advice and support – plus your Beat T–shirt to wear on the day!
  3. Start sharing your page with friends and family.
  4. Ask a family/friend to help you out and live stream going Bald for Beat!

The difference your fundraising makes

Each month we support tens of thousands of people and their loved ones on their journeys towards recovery from an eating disorder. Your fundraising makes this possible – we simply could not do it without you.

Please follow our Fundraising Guidelines to ensure your fundraising is suitable, legal, and safe for everyone involved. It’s important to choose a fundraising activity that is right for you.  It’s especially important that you choose an appropriate fundraising activity, if you have previous experience of an eating disorder or are in recovery.
