Could you spot an eating disorder in your students? Would you know what to do to support them to get help?
Going to university or college can be an exciting time but also a time of significant change. Students who are vulnerable can develop an eating disorder – or if they are in recovery - could experience returning symptoms or behaviours.
The university environment can mask symptoms of an eating disorder and make it harder for students to stay connected to treatment services and their support network.
Our training will provide you with the tools to detect and support those affected by eating disorders, to prevent students falling through the cracks.
In this training you will:
✅ Understand how university could contribute to the development of an eating disorder
✅ Be able to confidently spot the signs of an eating disorder
✅ Learn how to approach a student you're worried about about and support them to get the help they need
✅ Earn CPD credits
There are the below dates for you to choose from and, best of all, our training is funded by the Scottish Government so is free to attend.
