Walk & Talk

Let's combat stigma, celebrate recovery and raise awareness of eating disorders.

There's something special about the conversations we have while walking. With eating disorders being such secretive illnesses, talking helps to combat stigma and encourage understanding. Enjoy a special day out with friends and family to reflect on your own experience, while helping Beat to support and listen to those who need it. Every penny you raise will help end pain and suffering.

Organise your own walk

You can organise your walk for any date and location, and we will be here to help you with planning to make your fundraising as rewarding and simple as possible. It's not about trekking for hours - the important thing is getting people chatting about mental health and raising funds for Beat's services

It costs £1,100 each day to provide all our services, which are completely free to use and are available 365 days a year. Why not set your group a target of funding our services for a day? Fundraising using Just Giving is really easy and quick to set up - just click the link below.

The walk was very meaningful for me. I was pretty much at my worst point exactly a year ago, and I’d never have thought then that I’d be able to take part in such an amazing day as this one year later.

Andrea, our Community Fundraising Officer, is here to help with any questions you might have, and has lots of experience of organising walks herself. Contact her for ideas, advice and resources on fundraising@beateatingdisorders.org.uk or 01603 753335.
