Walk & Talk

04/10/2017 - 31/03/2018

Let’s Walk & Talk!

Step out to show support for everyone affected by eating disorders. Celebrate recovery, meet new friends, and raise awareness of these serious mental illnesses.

Talking about eating disorders can be difficult but it’s a really important conversation to have. That’s why we’re asking you to organise or join a Walk & Talk event in aid of Beat. Let’s talk about eating disorders and walk away from secrecy, stigma and misunderstanding.

It doesn’t have to be a trek or a marathon - it’s all about enjoying fresh air and gentle exercise with friends, family and colleagues. You decide the date, route and distance – it can be as long or as short as suits you. Invite as many people as you can, and ask your walkers to raise sponsorship for Beat from their own networks of friends and family. Every penny raised will support Beat’s vision: to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders.

Our walk was a way of not only raising money but of walking away from the eating disorder… I wanted to fundraise for Beat to try and ensure that everyone has access to the help and support they need. - Jess, Beat fundraiser 2017

Our Walk & Talk toolkit will help you organise your walk, and our fundraising team are here to support you every step of the way. Stay tuned for more resources as we pick up the pace over summer.

Our fundraising team would love to hear from you! Contact us for ideas, advice and resources on fundraising@b-eat.co.uk or 01603 753335.
