We’re really excited to be working on a project on eating disorders in men. There’s still a misconception that only women get eating disorders – and it’s yet another barrier to proper support.
We’d love your help to make sure this project properly reflects the issues men with eating disorders face. So if this is something you identify with, and you think you could use your experiences to help shape this work, we want to hear from you.
We’re running an info session on Wednesday 7 September at 3-4pm. We’ll share more about our upcoming project, and how you can get involved.

Once we’ve told you what we’re planning and answered all your questions, we’ll invite you to join us for a focus group where we’ll get into your experiences and what you’d like to see from this work.
Wednesday 7 September @3-4pm: A chance for you to learn a bit more about the project and how we’ll involve people with lived experience.
Tuesday 13 September @5:30-6:30pm: A training session to help you get the most out of the focus group.
Wednesday 21 September @5:30-7:30pm: Focus group – a more structured discussion where you’ll be able to contribute experiences and ideas.
If you apply to join the focus group, we may also invite you to an informal meeting with Martha Williams, Beat’s Senior Clinical Advice Coordinator, to learn more about you and answer any questions you have.
