Join Team Beat and take on the World's biggest half marathon to help us continue to be there for people affected by eating disorders. Enjoy fantastic views of Newcastle and the coast with huge crowds cheering you all the way.

How can I take part?

You can apply for a charity place with Beat to join our team of runners for the Great North Run, or if you already have your own place through the Great North Run ballot you can let us know. Simply pick the option below:

If you have personal experience of an eating disorder or current health issues, you should not take part in the Great North Run if doing so could put your health and wellbeing in jeopardy. Applicants who have a pre-existing medical condition, may be required to provide a doctor’s certificate stating they have a suitable level of fitness to participate.

We strongly suggest that you consult your doctor or clinician before taking part in this event, especially if you have a current or previous medical condition including any experience of an eating disorder.
