Get your Christmas jingle on this year, choose a Christmas-themed quiz, jumper day, festive gaming marathon, or you may have your own creative Christmassy idea!
Every pound you raise will ensure that those affected by an eating disorder receive support 365 days a year, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
Here are some of our ideas:
A Christmas quiz is a classic fundraiser but this year you can hold it virtually over Zoom or Skype. Perfect for a friend or family get together as well as a fun event for your university friends or work colleagues to get you in the festive spirit. Each person could join for a small entry fee, and could win more points for the most creative festive dressed! Download our how-to guide and example rounds of questions to get you started.
A Christmas jumper day at work is a fantastic way to bring some Christmas cheer to your workplace whether you are in the office or in Zoom meeting. Ask your colleagues to donate £2 to wear their favourite festive knitwear and you could even turn it into a competition!
A festive gaming marathon or speedrun with friends is a brilliant way to raise money and have fun while promoting and raising awareness of eating disorders and Beat to your followers.
Get Creative at School. Why not ask your school if you can hold a bauble decorating completion. Charge entry of £1 per student, buy some shatterproof baubles from a wholesaler and distribute them to the students taking part. Make sure that each bauble has a name tag attached.
Display the entries on the school Christmas tree and ask the Headteacher to judge the best in each year. Each pupil can take their decoration home at the end of term.
