Scotland and Wales Parliamentary Elections 2021

On Thursday 6 May, anyone over the age of 16 living in Scotland and Wales can vote to choose who will represent them locally and who will ultimately go on to form the Scottish Parliament and Welsh Parliament.

As healthcare is a devolved issue, which means that the Governments in Scotland and Wales determine health policy for the NHS in their own countries, these elections are a particularly important time for explaining why support for eating disorders is so crucial.

It’s important that whoever is elected hears from you, their constituents, and understands why it’s vital that people with eating disorders get help quickly. We’re asking you to contact your local candidates to call for their support in ensuring that eating disorders are identified early, and that people of all ages can get high quality treatment as soon as they need it.

With just a few clicks you can send a letter to all candidates in your area, showing that this issue matters to you and asking them to give their support. We encourage you to personalise the letter, as your own story can create even more of an impact.

We have written our own manifesto about what actions we would like to see the next Scottish and Welsh Governments to take. You can read these by clicking on the button for your country below:
