Beat Champions

Want to help people affected by eating disorders? Why not sign up to become a Beat Champion?

Beat Champions are our community of regular givers and provide us with essential funds to allow us to carry out our work. Every person who calls Beat’s Helpline seeking advice or joins a support group to talk with people who understand what they’re going through is someone that we’re able to help because of the generosity of our supporters, including Beat Champions.

In the last year alone, our supporters have enabled us to:

  • Extend our Helpline opening hours so that we’re now available to help people who need support seven hours a day, 365 days a year.
  • Run more online support groups, increasing from two per week to two per evening and tailoring groups to specific needs to allow people to share their experiences and get positive guidance from people who’ve been in the same position.
  • Produce more resources to encourage people to recognise the signs of eating disorders and help themselves or someone they know to get the support they need and deserve.
  • Run more campaigns to raise awareness, increase understanding, and improve treatment.

That’s why we’re asking you to sign up to become a Beat Champion. Beat receives no government funding, and every penny donated makes a difference. We’re proud of what we and our supporters have achieved together, and with your help, we know that we can achieve much more.

What could your donation do?

You can choose your donation amount and frequency. Everything you donate will help people affected by eating disorders. Here’s what your donation could do:

£3 – Could help fund resources to support someone visiting their GP about their eating disorder for the first time – an important step towards recovery.

£5 – Could help fund a Beat Advisor to respond to emails from someone worried about themselves or a loved one, encouraging them to open up a vital conversation.

£15 – Could help our Helpline Advisors take calls and give guidance and support to someone who urgently needs it.

£50 – Could help to run an online support session, giving sufferers essential peer support from people who understand what they are going through.

£100 – Could fund a batch of posters that raise awareness of the early signs of an eating disorder, helping people to spot those in need more quickly.

You can sign up to become a Beat Champion here. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll receive:
