Services for Carers in Wales

Beat offers a range of services for people in Wales who may be supporting someone with an eating disorder.

Nexus

Nexus is a telephone support service for parents, siblings, partners, and others caring for a loved one who has an eating disorder.

Raising Resilience

Raising Resilience is a series of online workshops for carers. Along with others caring for someone with an eating disorder, you’ll learn new skills from an experienced eating disorder clinician.

Solace

Solace is a free video-based support group hosted weekly over Zoom for anyone supporting somebody with an eating disorder.

Our resource pack for parents and carers is a comprehensive guide for those whose loved one has recently been diagnosed with an eating disorder.

Helpline

Our dedicated helpline number and email address for people in Wales is open 365 days a year from 9am – Midnight during the week, and 4pm – Midnight on weekends and bank holidays.

Callers can call the confidential free phoneline or email for friendly, non-judgmental advice regarding an eating disorder or supporting someone with an eating disorder. Alternatively, you can request to receive a call back in Welsh.
