Who can take part?

Anyone who is currently in a relationship, or has previously been in a relationship, with someone who is undergoing, or has previously undergone, psychological therapy for an eating disorder.

What is the purpose of the research?

The purpose of this study is to understand partner's experiences of being with someone who is undergoing eating disorder therapy. This should increase our understanding of the kind of support partners need during this time. It should also increase our understanding of how partners try to support loved ones through therapy, and whether methods of support could be altered to improve the outcome of therapy.

What does the study involve?

Individuals who participate in the study will be asked to take part in a single, semi-structured interview with the lead researcher. As the interview will ask questions about the individual's partner, the partner's consent will be sought before participation can be confirmed. The interview will take place remotely, and should last between 1 and 1.5 hours. Participants will be compensated £10 for their participation.
