Have Your Say on Early Intervention for Eating Disorders

Who can take part?

Anyone aged 16 and over, with an interest in care for eating disorders. This includes people with a current or past eating disorder, clinicians, researchers, families, supporters, and anyone else who is interested.

They especially want to hear from underrepresented voices - including men, ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and others.

What is the purpose of the research?

The research is being carried out to help transform early intervention for eating disorders via a new 'Early Intervention Action Plan' that will be shared with policy makers and practitioners.

In this study early intervention is defined as:

  • Identifying an eating disorder early
  • Making sure that people can access care quickly and easily
  • Providing care that is effective and lasts as long as it is needed.

How can people take part?

The study is gathering views on how to revolutionise early intervention for eating disorders through a 10-20 minute anonymous online survey.

The survey will ask about the potential benefits, challenges, barriers and facilitators of early intervention.
