Belonging to Social Groups and Eating Disorder Recovery

Who can take part?

To be eligible potential participants must:

* be over 18,

* have been diagnosed by a psychologist or psychiatrist with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, or another specified eating disorder,

* have access to health care or treatment, and

* have been in recovery from their eating disorder for at least three months.

What is the purpose of the research?

The present study investigates the role of social group membership in eating disorder recovery in order to provide greater insight into the potential value of social solutions to mental illness treatment with the hopes of improving current treatment options for eating disorder sufferers.

What does the study involve?

The study involves completion of an online survey which takes about 10 minutes. The survey asks about the social groups that you are a part of, your eating disorder recovery, and some basic information about yourself.
