Coping with Christmas

Intended audience

Parents, carers, other family members and friends.

Key outcome

Parents and carers will have the skills to support someone they're caring for so that they feel more in control and less overwhelmed during the festive season.
Coping with Christmas

Christmas can be a difficult time of year for people with eating disorders and their loved ones too, but celebrating it together is possible. Beat’s Coping with Christmas workshop will enable parents, carers, partners, friends and family to enjoy the holiday season.

Coping with Christmas is for parents and carers who have been caring for a loved one with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and/or binge eating disorder for less than five years.

This one-day interactive workshop will help a loved one to address their hopes and fears about Christmas, identify potential triggers and make a collaborative plan with their parent or carer.

Excellent workshop and excellent teacher. Our trainer was very knowledgeable but approachable. I really valued speaking to other parents and carers too.Carer
