Brighton Eating Disorders Awareness Training
Beat, the UK’s eating disorder charity, is working with the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to deliver free awareness training days in Brighton and Hove.
Spotting the early signs of an eating disorder is extremely important. Research shows that the sooner someone receives support for an eating disorder the better their chances of making a full recovery and avoiding more invasive and expensive treatment.
The training provided will increase your awareness of eating disorders and the early warning signs associated. Alongside giving you and your colleagues the knowledge of how best to support a young person, and providing you with a better understanding of local specialist services that you can access.
The sooner someone enters treatment for an eating disorder, the better. Make sure you know what you’re looking for by attending one of these free training events.
Please note this training is aimed at people who work with children and young people in Brighton and Hove. If you do not work in Brighton and Hove please return to the Training and Events section of the Beat website to find training local to you.
